Brown puts NU in Top 5

Northwestern lost its quarterback commitment yesterday, but at least one 2016 signal caller may be in line to replace him.
Three-star prospect Anthony Brown of Holmdel (N.J.) St. John Vianney tweeted his Top 5 today and Northwestern made the cut:

Brown also talked about his Top 5 schools in a video interview with Rivals' Adam Friedman.
Northwestern's quarterback scholarship opened up yesterday when Deuce Wallace decommitted to pledge Vanderbilt. He had committed to the Wildcats on March 14 to become the first member of the 2016 class.
Brown, a 6-foot-1, 196-pounder, took his overnight visit to Northwestern in early March, telling WildcatReport that it was a "9" on a scale of 1-10.
"Everything is changing in the football aspect and you can feel it," said Brown at the time. "Also, the academics are so high, yet they are still playing in the Big Ten."
The very next week Wallace committed to the Wildcats, taking the quarterback scholarship slot off the board -- temporarily, as it turned out.
Three-star quarterback Joshua Jackson of Saline (Mich.) also figures to be in the hunt for that QB scholarship. He was the first of the three signal callers to take an overnight visit to Northwestern, in late February, and also raved about the experience.
Brown, Jackson and Wallace are the only three quarterbacks Northwestern has offered in this class.
