Buckley commits to NU

Northwestern went 2-for-2 with its official visitors over the weekend, as running back Stephen Buckley committed to coach Pat Fitzgerald to become the 21st member of the Wildcats' Class of 2012.
Buckley joins fellow visitor and former USC wide receiver Kyle Prater, who decided to transfer to Northwestern on Saturday.

The two-star prospect from Forney (Texas) North Forney saw his recruitment take off two weeks ago, when he picked up his first three BCS offers. He narrowed his choices to Northwestern and Washington State and took officials to each campus over the last two weekends.
He confirmed his commitment via a text message to WildcatReport this afternoon.
A triple-option quarterback at North Forney, Buckley was recruited as a running back by Northwestern and a cornerback by Washington State. He said previously that the position he plays would not play a role in his final decision.
Buckley also held offers from Kansas State, Air Force, Louisiana-Monroe, Navy and North Texas.
The 6-foot, 178-pounder becomes the second running back in the Wildcats' class, joining Malin Jones. With signing day just three days away, Buckley may be the last addition to the class.
