Gooden commits to NU

Northwestern landed the 19th member of its Class of 2016 when Mark Gooden committed to the Wildcats.
The three-star athlete from Reynoldsburg (Ohio) will play a hybrid outside linebacker/defensive end role for Northwestern. He committed to head coach Pat Fitzgerald on Tuesday but announced his decision on Twitter on Wednesday:

Gooden chose Northwestern over offers from 21 other schools, including Power Five programs Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
He is the second defensive end in the Wildcats' class, joining fellow Ohioan Tommy Carnifax.
