McNaul out for opener

Starting outside linebacker Bryce McNaul will not play in Northwestern's season opener against Vanderbilt on Saturday night.
The redshirt junior, who won the weakside linebacker job in preseason camp, is sidelined with a shoulder injury. He is one of six Wildcats who will not play in the game, according to a Northwestern injury report released today.

McNaul will likely be replaced by Ben Johnson.
The other players who will not play against the Commodores are:
David Arnold, S: Foot
Roderick Goodlow, LB: Knee (out for season)
Keegan Grant, G: Illness
Tony Jones, WR: Shoulder
Tim Riley, LB: Shoulder
