Northwestern opened July with a bang. A big bang.

The Wildcats landed 6-foot-7, three-star tight end Tyler Kielmeyer from Westerville (Ohio) South on Tuesday. He is the 18th member of the still-expanding Class of 2025.

Kielmeyer is the third tight end to commit to the Wildcats, joining Noah LaPorte and Robby Preckel.

He took an official visit to Northwestern on June 21 and committed to the Wildcats over 19 other offers, including Big Ten foes Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan State, and nine other Power Four programs.

Kielmeyer is Northwestern's first commit in July,and their seventh since the start of June.

Northwestern's class is now ranked 45th overall in the nation.

With a Rivals rating of 5.6, Kielmeyer is the highest-rated tight end in the class.
