Isaiah Bowser continues to put up Marvel comic-type numbers for Sidney (Ohio).

The three-star Northwestern running back commitment ran for 300 yards for a second straight week as the Yellow Jackets remained perfect with a 35-7 win at home over Dayton Carroll.

Bowser finished with 304 yards on 26 carries and scored on a 74-yard touchdown run with 2:35 left, then a three-yard touchdown run with 23 seconds left.

Bowser set the Sidney single-game rushing mark just last week when he ran for 320 in a win over Bellefontaine. He now has 805 yards in three games.

Sidney, which was ranked No. 10 in Ohio Division II in the first weekly Associated Press state poll, has thrived on offense with Sidney quarterback Andre Gordon and Bowser running the show. The Yellow Jackets totaled 475 against Carroll and are averaging 505 yards per game, the most of any Great Western Ohio Conference team.

Bowser got into a groove late in the second quarter. After Carroll’s Fredrick Butts scored a 15-yard touchdown run with about three minutes left, Bowser quickly responded with his 74-yarder.

Gordon, who ran for 150 yards and three scores, was removed late in the game against Carroll after suffering an injury to his left shoulder.

Sidney coach Adam Doenges was unsure after the game when Gordon would return.

“It’s just a little bit of a shoulder injury,” Doenges said. “It’s too early to know if he’ll be back for (this week’s game) or not.”
