Schmidt commits to Northwestern
A weekend overnight visit was enough to seal the deal for Charlie Schmidt.
The three-star offensive lineman from Libertyville (Ill.) committed to head coach Pat Fitzgerald to become the third member of the Wildcats' Class of 2018.
Schmidt announced his commitment on Twitter on Sunday morning:

Northwestern offered Schmidt as a sophomore, when they were recruiting current Northwestern wide receiver Riley Lees, Schmidt's former teammate at Libertyville.
Schmidt becomes the second offensive lineman in Northwestern's class, joining Payne He'bert. Quarterback Jason Whittaker is the third member of the class.
