Stovall's commitment comes as no surprise
New Northwestern commitment Sam Stovall had what he called an “amazing” official visit to Northwestern over the weekend. It was so good, in fact, that he became the Wildcats 17th 2018 commitment on Monday, the day after he returned from Evanston.
But in many respects, the official visit was a mere formality. The two-star offensive lineman from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Notre Dame said that he was “probably 80 or 90 percent” sure he was going to commit before he and his parents even set foot on campus last Friday.
