Turner 'a coach's dream'
New Northwestern transfer A.J. Turner is a "coach's dream," an "all-around glue guy" that will endear himself to Wildcat fans both on and off the floor.
That's according to Zack Spears, who should know what he's talking about. A basketball beat reporter for EagleAction.com and television/radio analyst for the Boston College Sports Network, Spears got a front-row seat to the 6-foot-7 wing's two years in Chestnut Hill.
We know that Turner averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 30.8 minutes per game for the Eagles in 2016-17. But Spears goes in-depth about the role he played for the Eagles, the strengths of his game and what kind of kid he is off the floor.
