There will be a pitched battle for three-star 2018 linebacker Nick Jackson, who already has 23 schools to choose from on his offer list.

But Northwestern has lodged itself up near the top of that list after a weekend overnight visit that checked every box on his wish list.

“I loved it!” said the three-star linebacker from Atlanta (Ga.) Lovett via Twitter direct message. “The people were amazing and I loved the coaches and players. Great atmosphere!”

And, as a linebacker, he doesn’t feel like he can do any better than a head coach like Pat Fitzgerald, a two-time national defensive player of the year, and a position coach like Tim McGarigle, the NCAA’s all-time tackles leader.
