The future of Northwestern football will be in Evanston this weekend as the Wildcats welcome the majority of their Class of 2018 for their official visits.

Just about all of the 15 commits are expected to make the trip for the visit, which will kick off today and end on Sunday. The Wildcats could have as many as 14 of them on campus. The only one who confirmed that he is not making the trip is linebacker Khalid Jones; he is playing in a South Carolina all-star game this weekend and took his official in November. In addition to the scholarship commitments, the Wildcats are expecting several of their preferred walkons, too.

Northwestern has long used a December official visit to build bonds among classmates who will be playing together for the next four or five years. This year, though, they will have an additional task – helping to get a couple more prospects to join their class.
