Recruiting Battles: Northwestern vs. Michigan State
Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald is just 3-7 against Michigan State on the gridiron in his career, but he has held his own against coach Mark Dantonio and the Spartans in recruiting in recent years.
The Wildcats and Spartans both offered eight different players who will play in Saturday's matchup and they split them down the middle, with each school landing four of them. Three of the four recruits who wound up Wildcats were four-stars prospects, and two current Spartans initially committed to NU.
Plus, Northwestern also landed one player who famously turned down a scholarship offer from Michigan State to walk on at his dream school.
WildcatReport takes a look at the battle for each of those eight players.
