Northwestern aggressively pursuing Bey for one of final spots
After landing two high-profile Rivals150 prospects, Northwestern is halfway home for its Class of 2018.
Three-star point guard Jordan Lathon and four-star forward Pete Nance took two of the four available scholarships when they committed during the last week of June.
WildcatReport has written extensively about two of the players the Wildcats are aggressively pursuing for those final two spots: three-star small forwards Talen Horton-Tucker and Miller Kopp.
But Northwestern is also actively recruiting another wing player, three-star small forward Saddiq Bey, and the Wildcat coaching staff hopes to land two of those three targets.
Bey is a 6-foot-7 small forward from Washington (D.C.) Sidwell Friends who was offered by Chris Collins shortly after he and assistant Armon Gates saw Bey play during the spring evaluation period.
"I'm interested in Northwestern," said Bey, who has seen his recruitment take off in recent months. "I like the coaching staff a lot...They've been recruiting me for a while and I have a great relationship with (Collins and Gates).
