A year ago, Northwestern signed Austin Hiller, one of the top safeties in the entire state of Texas, from Lake Travis High School in Austin.

Back then, 2020 Austin Lake Travis pro-style quarterback Hudson Card was just a freshmen as he watched Hiller, a three-star prospect, play an integral role in sparking the Cavaliers to the 2016 Class 6A state championship and a top five national ranking.

Card now has been given opportunity to reunite with his former high school teammate in Evanston.

Northwestern offered the 6-foot-2, 170-pound Card a few weeks ago, becoming the third of four Power 5 Conference schools to offer the rising junior, joining Indiana, Arkansas and TCU in the pursuit. Tulsa and SMU have offered as well.
