Colter is B1G POW

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior quarterback Kain Colter (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) garnered Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week accolades Monday after a remarkable effort in NU's 28-17 victory over Iowa Saturday at Ryan Field.
Colter had a hand in all four Northwestern touchdowns on the day, rushing for three while also throwing a 47-yard TD strike to Christian Jones to help NU defeat Iowa for the sixth time in the last eight meetings. Colter contributed a career-high 166 rushing yards to a Northwestern offense that racked up 349 total ground yards, with Colter averaging 6.4 yards on each of his 26 carries.

With his three rushing touchdowns, Colter assumed the Northwestern team lead with 11 on the season and moved into sixth on the school's career list with 22 rushing scores.
Earlier this year, Colter shared the league's Offensive Player of the Week honor following his four-touchdown performance in a victory over Indiana (Sept. 29).
Colter and the Wildcats are in the midst of a bye week before returning to action Saturday, Nov. 10 at Michigan.
