Three-star linebacker Paddy Fisher committed to Northwestern on Tuesday in a development that could lead to a couple more commitments for the Wildcats.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder chose Northwestern over co-favorite Baylor. He also had offers from Boston College, Colorado State, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana Tech, Maryland, Washington and Wisconsin.
Fisher's commitment could mean that Katy teammates Travis Whillock and Collin Wilder might soon follow in his footsteps. The three close friends have called it their dream to play together in college, while also emphasizing that each player will make his decision independent of the others.
Northwestern is the only school on the final list of all three prospects. Whillock, a two-star safety, has narrowed his choices to Northwestern and Houston, while Wilder, a four-star safety, is considering Northwestern, Houston and Wisconsin.
Fisher is the 17th commitment in Northwestern's 2016 class. He is the second linebacker in the group, joining Jango Glackin.
