It took a while for Ryan Montgomery’s recruitment to get started. The three-star running back didn’t hear from any college coaches last fall and didn’t get his first offer until mid-February of this year.

Since then, however, interest in him has taken off. The Franklin (Ohio) product is now up to 15 scholarship offers, including seven from the Power Five.

One of his latest came last week from Northwestern, a school he’s been talking to for the last month or so.
