Northwestern lands 2019 QB Cale Millen
If Cale Millen is as decisive in the pocket at Northwestern as he was in recruiting, he’ll do just fine.
The three-star Class of 2019 quarterback from Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si committed to the Wildcats during his first visit to the school. He met with head coach Pat Fitzgerald at the end of the day on Saturday and pulled the trigger in the coach’s office.
“Northwestern is the perfect fit for me,” said the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder on Sunday, after returning home from Evanston. “I’m super excited.”
Recruiting Millen, the son of former NFL quarterback Hugh Millen, didn’t take very long. The Wildcats started talking to him just two months ago and offered him about two weeks ago.
Millen was already so impressed with the program that he says he had a pretty good idea that he was going to commit on his visit, even though it comes more than a year before he’ll be able to sign his national letter of intent.
Millen chose Northwestern over an offer from UCLA that he received about 10 months ago. He is the second member of the Wildcats 2019 class, joining linebacker Bryce Gallagher.
