Northwestern took a big swing with an offer to four-star 2026 Michigan safety Marcello Vitti on June 21.

"It means a lot to get an offer from Northwestern," Vitti said. "They don't just throw them around. They're particular about their guys and they're a gritty, up-and-coming football team with great academics."

The Wildcats hosted Vitti on an unofficial visit on June 21 and head coach David Braun extended him an offer the same day, the 26th offer of his recruitment.
