Sunday turned out to be quite a day for Northwestern.

Four-star twin brothers Andrew Dowell and David Dowell of Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward committed to the Wildcats tonight to become the second and third commits of the day and the fourth and fifth of the week.
Andrew, a running back, and David, an athlete who will start his career at cornerback, were top targets for head coach Pat Fitzgerald and staff. They both visited Northwestern last weekend and rated the experience a "10" on a scale of 1-10.
"You could see they were very excited by us being there," said David. "They really want us to play for Northwestern."
David picked up his offer from the Wildcats in January, while Andrew received his just last month. They both had double-digit FBS offers and visited Evanston several times.
Andrew is ranked as the No. 25 running back in the country and the 11th-best prospect in talent-rich Ohio. David is the No. 25 athlete and is ranked 12th in Ohio.
Northwestern has established a pipeline to St. Edward in recent years. Current Wildcats Deonte Gibson, Greg Kuhar and Geoff Mogus all prepped at St. Ed's.
The Dowells' commitment came just hours after three-star running back John Moten became a Wildcat earlier on Sunday. That caps a week that saw Northwestern reel in linebackers Nathan Fox (Tuesday) and Tommy Vitale (Saturday).
