Three-star 2023 safety Dillon Thieneman said he was excited to get an offer from Northwestern last week.

He immediately shared the news with his family. He put the Wildcats in his top three. He set up a visit to Northwestern at the end of the month.

All of those things are positive signs for the Wildcats. But will it be enough to beat out his strong ties to Purdue?
