Pellerin audibles, commits to Ole Miss

It turns out that a perfect weekend visit wasn't quite enough for Northwestern.
Just one day after returning from an overnight visit to Northwestern and mere hours after rating his experience a 10 on a scale of 1-10, three-star quarterback Jason Pellerin did an about-face and committed to Ole Miss this evening.

The New Iberia (La.) Catholic standout received an offer from the Rebels at about 6:15 this evening, and after talking it over briefly with his mom and head coach, he called head coach Hugh Freeze and pulled the trigger.
"I knew that Ole Miss was where I wanted to go, so I committed," said the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder. "Ever since Ole Miss was recruiting me, I was leaning that way the whole time."
Pellerin explained that "growing up, I dreamed of playing in the SEC. That opportunity, the Ole Miss coaching staff and an offense he feels is tailor-made for his talents were enough to make him a Rebel.
Pellerin said that he has yet to talk to anyone at Northwestern to let them know about his decision, but he plans to shortly.
"I have the utmost respect for those guys," he said. "It was very tough to make that decision. I really appreciate them."
