It's official: Northwestern will take on Pittsburgh in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in New York City on Dec. 28.

Pittsburgh finished in a three-way tie for second place in the ACC Coastal Division with a record of 8-4 (5-3). The No. 23 Panthers are best known for beating Big Ten champion Penn State in Week 2 and College Football Playoff participant Clemson in November.

Northwestern and Pittsburgh shared one common opponent this season: the Wildcats beat Duke 24-13 on Sept. 17, while the Panthers demolished the Devils 56-14 on Nov. 19.

The game will kick off at Yankee Stadium at 2 p.m. ET.
