Texas OL Jack Leyrer's unique visit to Northwestern pays off
Jack Leyrer took the loneliest visit in Northwestern history last weekend.
No one was on campus due to the coronavirus. All the buildings were closed. Players and coaches couldn't meet with him because of the NCAA's recruiting dead period.
Even the planned highlight of his trip, renting a boat to get a look at the campus from Lake Michigan, fell through because the water was too choppy.
Yet the three-star offensive tackle from Dallas (Texas) Highland Park and his family had nothing but good things to say about his experience.
"I am very happy we made the trip!" he said by Twitter DM. Find out why here.
