Three for one

If the so-called Katy Triplets want to play together in college, Northwestern will be their choice.
That looks to be the case after three-star Katy (Texas) linebacker Paddy Fisher told WildcatReport yesterday that his final two schools are Northwestern and Baylor. That means that Northwestern is the only school on the final lists of all three Katy prospects -- Fisher, four-star safety Collin Wilder and two-star safety Travis Whillock.

Wilder's final three are Northwestern, Houston and Wisconsin, while Whillock has a final two of Northwestern and Houston.
All three players, who often describe themselves as "brothers," have said that it would be a "dream come true" to play together at the next level. They have also all stated that, even though they talk about the possibility of being college teammates regularly, each player will make his decision independent of the others.
Northwestern was the first school to offer all three of the prospects, in April, when they visited Evanston together. Since then, Boston College, Houston and Wisconsin have followed suit on the offer lists of all three. But those three schools have fallen by the wayside for one reason or another over the last several weeks, leaving the Wildcats alone with a shot at landing all three.
Among the three Katy Tigers, Whillock seems to be the closest to making a decision and is aiming for an "early July" decision date. Wilder said he doesn't have a timeline for making a verbal commitment but will rely more on "gut feel" for when the time is right. Fisher has yet to comment on when he will make a decision.
Wilder, Fisher and Whillock played pivotal roles in leading Katy to a 14-2 record last season and a berth in the Texas state title game.
