Northwestern gets the attention of 4-star 2019 linebacker
Northwestern has had quite a few players of Nigerian descent on its roster under head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Especially on defense.
Defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo, linebackers David Nwabuisi and Chi Chi Ariguzo and safety Godwin Igwebuike were all standout defenders for the Wildcats in recent years.
Northwestern last week offered four-star 2019 outside linebacker Osita Ekwonu of Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day, and coaches would like to see him join that impressive list.
Ekwonu told WildcatReport that the “number of Nigerian student athletes to go through the program really stood out.”
As did the school’s outstanding academics.
