The three-star prospect from Pickerington (Ohio) North is listed in the Rivals database as a running back, but he will most likely play cornerback for the Wildcats.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder chose Northwestern over more than a dozen offers, including Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, NC State, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Last season, Igwebuike rushed for 1,050 yards and scored 14 touchdowns for Pickerington North, averaging a whopping nine yards per carry. He also picked off six passes as a safety and cornerback.
Igwebuike is the third cornerback in the class, joining Matt Harris and Keith Watkins. He is also the fourth Ohioan in the group.
