It’s been a difficult last few weeks for Jason Whittaker.

The 2018 Northwestern quarterback commitment was forced to sit out the last three games for Rockford (Mich.) with an injury. “It sucked,” said Whittaker bluntly.

But the three-star signal caller was cleared to play by doctors on Monday and can’t wait to rejoin his teammates. The timing couldn’t have been better, as Rockford plays its Homecoming game on Friday night against rival East Kentwood.

“I’m excited to get back on the field and play,” he said.
